Woke up the morning I turned 30 Knowing I was just where I should be Feeling more content than I have ever felt That’s the way I feel when you’re with me We’re like Tracey and Ted We’re like Ryan and Blake Cos you and me, well we’re never gonna fake Oh, Oh I still remember The way I felt when we first met How you took me by complete surprise I know I won’t forget Travelled hallway round the world together Never getting bored of time with you Making the same jokes as one another We laugh and love in all we and see and do We’re like Noah and Allie We’re Like Emma and Dex Because when we’re together it’s always the best Oh, Oh I still remember The way I felt when we first met How you took me by complete surprise I know I won’t forget This is how I’ll always feel Cos you and me well we’re for real Oh yeah, yeah, yeah And this is how we’ll always be Cos you and me are meant to be Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Oh, Oh I still remember The way I felt when we first met How you took me by complete surprise I know I won’t forget Oh, Oh I still remember The way I felt when we first kissed How you took me by complete surprise I know I'll always feel like this

Waking up in my own bed There's nothing pounding in my head I remember what I did last night Had a drink or two with friends And that’s where the story ends There’s nothing wild, there’s nothing else to tell I’m sorry if it disappoints but I’m not one of the boys I'm happy being who I am I Didn’t smoke something illegal Didn’t break into a pool Didn’t puke up in the taxi Pass out blind drunk after all I Didn’t go into a night club dance with all my heart and soul It was all quite unadventurous cos I ’m not, I’m not rock and roll The pills I pop are Claritin I once OD’d on caffeine drinks Laid out in my bed with the shakes My needle’s in a sewing kit I pricked myself, it hurt a bit But my Dharma patch is looking pretty great I’m sorry if it's hard to hear But if I’m rock and roll so’s Britney Spears And I think we’ll all agree that isn’t true I Didn’t smoke something illegal Didn’t break into a pool Didn’t puke up in the taxi Pass out blind drunk after all I Didn’t go into a night club dance with all my heart and soul It was all quite unadventurous cos I ’m not, I’m not rock and roll There’s not a traffic cone in sight in my room There’s not a road sign or a drunken tattoo There’s not a beer glass or a red cup in sight I could tell you blow by blow what happened last night But it's not a very good story, it's very interesting so I'm not going to bother I Didn’t smoke something illegal Didn’t break into a pool Didn’t puke up in the taxi Pass out blind drunk after all I Didn’t go into a night club dance with all my heart and soul It was all quite unadventurous cos I ’m not, I’m not rock and roll

Every Guy 03:34
Woah, Woah Woah, Woah He said, I only slept with your room mate because she felt so alone I only downloaded Tinder cos you were so far from home I only called up my ex because I was drunk And I’m not making excuses cos this is how it really is... Oh, Isn’t it funny Isn’t it strange How everyone thinks they’re so perfect I can’t work it out Oh I just don’t know why That every guy, That every guy thinks he’s a nice guy Woah, Woah Woah, Woah She said, Snuck into your barracks to just have you near You didn’t know we were dating but it had been two whole years I waited for an hour but you just stood me up And it’s cool now it’s behind me but it’s my typical luck Oh, Isn’t it funny Isn’t it strange How everyone thinks they’re so perfect I can’t work it out Oh I just don’t know why That every guy, That every guy thinks he’s a nice guy Woah, Woah Woah, Woah It really matters what they do And how they justify it all, Cos every time they mess around they take her for a fool Say they're one of the good ones And there aren't many of them left But every time they say that they lower the standard for the rest of us Oh, Isn’t it funny Isn’t it strange How everyone thinks they’re so perfect I can’t work it out Oh I just don’t know why That every guy, That every guy thinks he’s a nice guy

The One 03:16
You were the one I was waiting for But I didn’t quite know it Hadn’t given up on love But I wasn’t searching You are the one My heart was needing What are the odds The odds of us meeting You, you, you Set my heart on fire, fire, fire I Feel so alive, live, live Wanna scream it loud, loud You, you, you Make the days go fast, fast, fast But I wish they’d last, last, last Wanna spend them all with you, all with you It’s like a kind-of destiny that our hearts collided Some people search for love but never find it You are the one My heart was needing What are the odds The odds of us meeting You, you, you Set my heart on fire, fire, fire I Feel so alive, live, live Wanna scream it loud, loud You, you, you Make the days go fast, fast, fast But I wish they’d last, last, last Wanna spend them all with you, all with you We always have the best of times Feel like I’ve known you all my life We fit together like a puzzle piece You make me the best version of me We always have the best of times Feel like I’ve known you all my life We fit together like a puzzle piece You make me the best version of me You, you, you Set my heart on fire, fire, fire I Feel so alive, live, live Wanna scream it loud, loud You, you, you Make the days go fast, fast, fast But I wish they’d last, last, last Wanna spend them all with you, all with you

It’s porches and thresholds and kisses and romances New starts in the summer time You know the story boy meets girl You fall in love she rocks your world It’s like every piece falls into place You walk around smile on your face Nothing in this world can bring you down It’s porches and thresholds and kisses and romances New starts in the summer time It’s late nights, long phone calls You hope you both fall in love this summer time And you finally get it right You know the scene a sunset stroll You’ve never felt this content or so whole Looking out across the river Hand in hand it feels so fine You know everything will be alright It’s porches and thresholds and kisses and romances New starts in the summer time It’s late nights, long phone calls You hope you both fall in love this summer time And you finally get it right Falling in love like you’ve not done before Still butterflies when you wait at her door The feeling you get when you find yourself thinking of her And you think of your futures, your plans intertwine Your dreams interlock and you’re feeling so fine Knowing that this is what you’ve been searching for Today you will savour each moment you have Live in the moment and be thankful for that Hoping you feel like this your whole life It’s porches and thresholds and kisses and romances New starts in the summer time It’s late nights, long phone calls You hope you both fall in love this summer time And you finally get it right

Maybe we should be a little less aware And maybe we should think before we over share Sometimes I think ignorance is bliss And maybe we should learn to live like this a little bit more We’re living in the 21st century and we’re all filled with apathy There’s a new campaign everyday and a new celebrity to shame We’re living in the 21st century where breaking news comes straight to me Except the news ain’t news at all it’s all ‘The Royals’ and football And I don’t think I need to know, no, I don’t think I need to know and... Maybe we should be a little less aware And maybe we should think before we over share Sometimes I think ignorance is bliss And maybe we should learn to live like this a little bit more Let’s all be a little less informed We’re living in the 21st century maybe the truth will set us free Except we don’t know what truth is because it’s sold to the highest bid We’re living in the 21st century where their whole lives are ours to see We read about their holidays and what food they ate today And I don't think I need to know, no, I don't think I need to know and... Maybe we should be a little less aware And maybe we should think before we over share Sometimes I think ignorance is bliss And maybe we should learn to live like this a little bit more Let’s all be a little less informed And I’m not trying to say it doesn’t matter I’m just trying to say it’s all too much I miss the days where you had to make an effort just to stay in touch And I’m not trying to say it’s not important cos I think each cause is great and good But this information overload over exposure makes me wish I could forget it all And I don't think I need to know, no, I don't think I need to know and... Maybe we should be a little less aware And maybe we should think before we over share Sometimes I think ignorance is bliss And maybe we should learn to live like this a little bit more Let’s all be a little less informed

Took a plane from London Heathrow airport 12 hours later saw ‘Welcome Y’all’ Touched down in the home of country music Where music is the language that they speak Something felt at home in that place Something makes me want to say... Take me back to Music City Where country music plays from every bar We’ll buy a little house near Hillsboro Village And I’ll write new songs on the front porch playing my guitar Played a set in Bobby’s Idle Hour The last dive bar standing on Music Row Heard the locals play the songs that they had penned down And Norman sang a song about how high school never ends Something felt at home in that place Something makes me want to say... Take me back to Music City Where country music plays from every bar We’ll buy a little house near Hillsboro Village And I’ll write new songs on the front porch playing my guitar Maybe one day I'll play a show at the Ryman Or sing on the stage at the Ole Opry Show Maybe one day I’ll bump into Reese Wetherspoon Or drink in the bar they say that Keith Urban goes to Take me back to Music City Where country music plays from every bar We’ll buy a little house near Hillsboro Village And I’ll write new songs on the front porch playing my guitar

Minor Chord 05:19
I’m sorry it is like this It seems we’re all struggling to cope We're losing to our demons I’ve got friends who lost all hope Don’t think it should be like this And maybe that’s naive I don’t think part of growing up is losing the will to live Maybe we just need to find some hope Need to find a way to live than to simply just to cope Cos I think that life is beautiful Let’s show you life is beautiful I know life is so much more than a minor chord We’re in the great depression Another train delayed I don’t care that I am late for work I just care they can’t be saved There’s a little too much darkness We’ve let in to this world Slowly wearing us all down Until the good voice can’t be heard Maybe we just need to find some hope Need to find a way to live than to simply just to cope Cos I think that life is beautiful Let’s show you life is beautiful I know life is so much more than a minor chord Maybe we just need to find the time to care Maybe we just need to find a listening ear Maybe if we just slowed down we’d find a way to let hope out and say 'How are you today?' 'It’s gonna be okay' Maybe we just need to find some hope Need to find a way to live than to simply just to cope Cos I think that life is beautiful Let’s show you life is beautiful I know life is so much more than a minor chord

The young they wanna see change The old they are stuck in their ways Everyone’s an activist at 22 Dreaming of a better place this world could be The hopeful boy turned into a pessimist The drive is gone cos nothing can change all this Living in a world that has gone mad While you wish upon the dreams that you once had Tell me, what’s going on in this world that we live in? Sick of the fights, so sick of division This land don’t belong to anyone So why can’t we all just get along? Tell me, what’s going on in this world that we live in We’re all on the same path, just trying to fit in The ones at the top talk austerity But the ones at the bottom say ‘that don’t work for me’ It’s time to change! It's time for change! Losing hope don’t happen over night It’s years of trying and giving up the fight Everyone has given up by 29 When you realise each petition was such a waste of time The young man says the things he said he’d never say That ‘there’s no point in trying cos you can’t make a change’ When you’ve seen peaceful protest fall upon deaf ears You give up on on the things that you once held so dear Tell me, what’s going on in this world that we live in? Sick of the fights, so sick of division This land don’t belong to anyone So why can’t we all just get along? Tell me, what’s going on in this world that we live in We’re all on the same path, just trying to fit in The ones at the top talk austerity But the ones at the bottom say ‘that don’t work for me’ It’s time to change! It's time for change! I felt a stirring in my soul at 32 An awakening of dreams I thought I no longer knew A yearning for a change to make this world a better place to see some justice, a cry for hope As I look out at this country that I call my home But I don't feel patriotic, in fact, I feel so alone Surrounded by division, no cry for unity Just people in their silo’s crying out ‘me, me, me, me’ Tell me, what’s going on in this world that we live in? Sick of the fights, so sick of division This land don’t belong to anyone So why can’t we all just get along? Tell me, what’s going on in this world that we live in We’re all on the same path, just trying to fit in The ones at the top talk austerity But the ones at the bottom say ‘that don’t work for me’ It’s time to change! It's time for change!

Tall People 04:52
I waited by my laptop for the tickets to come on sale Now it’s 9 months later and the night is finally here I’m standing in the mosh pit 3rd row from the front To get this spot I didn’t even get a beer Now the band's about to play And the music’s faded down And some dude who’s 8 feet tall Has made his way through the crowd And he’s standing right in front of me I can’t see a single thing His arm pit’s way too close to my face I put my hands in the air so the band can see Do they remember what it’s like to be in the crowd when you can’t see a thing? Cos everyone’s who’s tall will stand So near the front they block the band So come on now, give us some flack Tall people please stand further back The opening song was awesome And the four songs after that But five songs in I’ve not seen Jaret’s face Near me sat on shoulders there's a girl out with her boy Maybe he would let me take her place? Now the next song’s ‘bout to start And the crowd have quietened down And another guy who’s 8 feet tall Has made his way through the crowd And he’s standing right in front of me I can’t see a single thing His arm pit’s way too close to my face I put my hands in the air so the band can see Do they remember what it’s like to be in the crowd when you can’t see a thing? Cos everyone’s who’s tall will stand So near the front they block the band So come on now, give us some flack Tall people please stand further back I saw Cody Carson when he climbed the speakers I saw Frank Turner every time he jumped I saw one of the beers from Zebrahead for 90 percent of their show I saw a drumstick in the air Fall Out Boy sing ‘I don’t care’ And the photo opportunity from Bowling for Soup And that’s about it Cos when the band’s about to play And the music’s fading down Some guy who’s 8 feet tall Makes his way through the crowd And he’s standing right in front of me I can’t see a single thing His arm pit’s way too close to my face I put my hands in the air so the band can see Do they remember what it’s like to be in the crowd when you can’t see a thing? Cos everyone’s who’s tall will stand So near the front they block the band So come on now, give us some flack Tall people please stand further back

It seems the last few year’s this world’s gone mad and completely lost its way Intolerance and hatred and taking over, how did we go astray? One thing I’ve learnt about getting older is: you make your own luck That your perspective is a self-fulfilling prophecy so start looking up So, stay positive Keep your head to the sky Look for the stars in the darkest nights And you’ll find your way I won’t believe in spite of everything this is a hopeless time I still believe we have much more in common than things which divide Cos if you’re always looking for the worst in everything then you’re sure to find So change your heart, avert your eyes, find a new perspective, reframe your mind So, stay positive Keep your head to the sky Look for the stars in the darkest nights And you’ll find your way Everything you see is not how it will always be Everything can change given a chance And life is not a walk, life may an uphill struggle But play the music, let life be a dance So, stay positive Keep your head to the sky Look for the stars in the darkest nights And you’ll find your way One thing I’ve learnt about getting older is: you make your own luck That your perspective is a self-fulfilling prophecy so start looking up
